Hin Loong holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London (1997). He was admitted
to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor in the High Court of Malaya in 2000. He has more
than 22 years’ experience in civil and commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
He was formerly a partner for 15 years in Azman, Davidson & Co., a well-known litigation and
arbitration firm in Kuala Lumpur.
He regularly appears as counsel in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court. Hin Loong
also appears as counsel in arbitration and adjudication proceedings.
He left Azman, Davidson & Co. in August 2021 and set up HL Wong, Soh & Co. with Jing Han. He is
currently the Senior Partner of HL Wong, Soh & Co.

Acted as counsel for a sub-contractor in a construction arbitration against the main
contractor involving a ‘pay when paid clause’. The matter was spantigated all the way to
the Federal Court with the final judgment in favour of the sub-contractor.

Plaintiff for breach of contract pertaining to a project for the design, installation,
completion and commissioning of landfill gas extraction and flaring system in Hanoi,

a legal firm for breach of trust.
